The last red tomatoes...

On my kitchen sink is a cactus planter I recently put together from some of the cacti that were in my flower garden this summer, a little dish of the last few cherry and roma tomatoes that were able to ripen on the plant, some green tea soap and a cup w/ some sweetgrass growing in it...
This is the amazing volunteer sunflower that's flowering in mid October!

The slugs and snails ate the leaves all to pieces, it got almost no full sun, but is still thriving...
Now I'm inspired to feed the birds out front w/ black oilseed all around the yard,
all winter to see just how many volunteer sunflowers will show up in the spring!
That's my kind of gardening!
